Steven Sinofsky, the man we all just watched give the presentation for the Windows 8 and Surface RT has left Microsoft as of today effective immediately. Sinofsky was the head of the Windows department and this comes as a big shock to everyone outside of the Microsoft headquarters. The timing of his departure does however, come not long after CNET uncovered a story in which Sinosky and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer were apparently warring.
